This grant focuses on Notre Dame Jerusalem and can provide travel* and other support for research and institutional relationships. The grant aims to support existing or new research collaborations and is granted to initiatives that align with Notre Dame Jerusalem’s mission and actively involve Jerusalem-based team members. Partnerships are not limited to Israeli and Palestinian institutions, and can include other institutions that are interested and invested in the region.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of applicable examples for proposals:

  • Research projects that focus on the realities of Israel and Palestine in partnership with faculty from other institutions
  • Initiatives that strengthen the ties with strategic partners, with the ultimate goal of producing relevant research output. The research themes are explicitly not limited, and can cover a wide range of topics and fields.

*Given the current security situation, faculty members may encounter challenges in arranging their travel. We encourage building contingencies, including the option of hosting the events in a nearby country. Notre Dame Jerusalem has, for example, organized events in Cyprus; other locations can also be considered.
