Fulbright Programs

The Institute of International Education consistently recognizes the University of Notre Dame as one of the U.S.'s leading Fulbright institutions.

The Fulbright Program awards approximately 9,000 merit-based scholarships in the United States and more than 160 countries every year to accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals of all backgrounds and fields. Fulbrighters study, teach, conduct research, exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to complex global challenges.

The program is sponsored and administered by the United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and has opportunities for U.S. Scholars, Visiting Scholars, and U.S. Institutions.

Students & Alumni

Current Notre Dame students or alumni interested in Fulbright U.S. Student programing (English teaching, research, or masters degree abroad) should reach out to the Fulbright contacts for their class level. Application deadlines are usually in September, so be sure to reach out by May or June.
