Robert Black is a Double Domer originally from Long Island. He manages all of the academic opportunities available to undergraduates at Notre Dame Dublin including semester study abroad at DCU, TCD, and UCD; and the various summer programmes available to students: Dublin Summer (DSP), Dublin Engineering (ESP), and Dublin Mendoza Summer (MSP). Robert is responsible for all aspects of program management and delivery and is always more than happy to speak with students at any point during the study abroad experience; from pre-programme discernment to reminiscing about past adventures in Ireland.

Robert graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. in chemistry and mathematics and a B.S. in chemical engineering in 2018. He completed a M.Phil. in theology at Trinity College Dublin in 2021.

Robert is a three-time All-Ireland champion in Irish dance with the Notre Dame/Saint Mary’s Céilí Team, and enjoys cheering on his adopted county, Cavan. When not out exploring Ireland with students on weekends, he can be found in one of Ireland’s many parish or town halls, dancing into the wee hours of the morning or spending quality time with his dog, Danny, Cú Chonaill.
