Natalie Gilbert

Natalie Gilbert holds a bachelor’s degree in International Norms, Cooperation, and Security and a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Michigan. She has professional experience in study abroad and global engagement at the University of Michigan, where she supported policies and resources focused on student safety and well-being during international travel.

Her international background includes studying abroad in Nanjing, China, working with the Fulbright Slovakia Commission, and extensive travel throughout Asia and the Middle East, experiences that shaped her collaborative, adaptable approach to cross-cultural engagement and project coordination.

Natalie brings an energetic, safety-focused perspective to her work at Notre Dame Global. Her approach is informed by first-hand experience traveling in active military zones and navigating high-risk environments, reinforcing her belief in the importance of preparation, situational awareness, and clear communication for meaningful international engagement. She is a member of NAFSA’s Rainbow Special Interest Group, serves on the Board for Study Abroad Day, and has been a Gilman Scholarship selection panelist for the past two years.

When not traveling, Natalie enjoys recreating recipes she has learned from around the world.
