Ellen Budell

Ellen Budell is excited to join the Notre Dame Global team as assistant director for summer study abroad. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, Ellen served as residence director for Benedictine College's Florence, Italy campus. Before living and working in Florence, Ellen worked in Benedictine College's marketing department at their main campus in Atchison, Kansas. She graduated from Benedictine with a B.A. in art, specializing in art therapy, graphic design, and painting, and then completed her MBA while working in marketing. Ellen's global experiences in Italy and many other parts of Europe have been some of the most formative in her life. She is grateful to be able to share this passion for lifelong intercultural learning with the students at Notre Dame.

Ellen is a Lincoln, Nebraska native and a proud Huskers fan. She formerly played soccer in college and loves to continue to coach for the local youth teams. She also continues to love to paint, run long distances, enjoy Italian cuisine, and watch many movies.
