The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation to fund Rome Seminar 2018

Prof. Heather Hyde Minor, Academic Director of the Rome Global Gateway, has been awarded $20,000 from The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation, to support the Rome Seminar 2018.

This year's seminar is designed to introduce graduate students from across the humanities to the unique primary sources available in Rome. Working hands on with materials in some of the city’s archives and libraries, students will be exposed to the rich potential of a wide range of sources produced from 1100 to 1750. Seminar meetings will be held at the Vatican Apostolic Library, the Biblioteca Casanatense, the Biblioteca Nazionale, and the Archivio di Stato (state archives), and elsewhere.

This year we have received 50 applications for only 10 placements. Students from the best universities all over the country, from York, Stanford, Princeton, Boston, Harvard, Notre Dame, Chicago, Yale, Berkley and many more universities, expressed their interest to be part of the seminar, and the commitee was really impressed by the high quality of the applications.
